I jammed again on my Digitakt last night and I really like the drum part I got in this pattern. It has some pretty groovy elements with some sweet crackle noises in it. Stabs and chord samples have been created with the Novation Peak Synthesizer, I recorded them straight into the Digitakt.

Sometimes I'm very surprised about the outcomes of my jam sessions. Today, for instance, I had a very specific track idea on my mind that I wanted to create, and I really achieved this idea at the end. And sometimes I have a concrete idea but I get something completely different at the end. However ... Right before the weekend kicks off, I have another some new music for you guys :) The track was created on a long train journey to Germany. It runs at a rather slow speed and features a great padsound, which is so extremely distorted that it almost sounds like the solo of an electric guitar. Do you like it? Let's get Funky! Today's jam makes heavy use of noises - I use 3 tracks only for this purpose. Wonderful! The pad sound's bitrate is LFO-modulated, a huge reverb makes it the moving element of this track with it's also LFO-modulated filter frequency. I love the combination of several stab sounds as well, they call and answer and fit into the groove nicely.

Right before I celebrate the release of our Digitakt based EP "Garagen" on Friday 29 of January together with my mate Atlas Castle, I was in the mood to upload another Jam I was working on during the past weeks (and yes, Corona lets me working on lots of stuff!). Since a while, I was waiting for the moment when the time would come to finally add the Digitone to my track setup and this moment is finally there. I bought this very cool Synth a while ago, but after making some patterns with Digitakt and Digitone together, I felt like I need to practice the hell out of one machine first before I add the other one (no, the Model:Samples doesn't count as it's basically a second Digitakt for me). And that's what I did in the past months. And so yep, here is it, a track I titled "In the Night" as the vibe is kinda dark - little different than the tracks I created in the past. A bit faster, you hear some Berlin House like synth hooks coming from the Digitone, the Digitakt plays some very dark and warm pads and a pretty mystic whispering voice in the middle of the track. This track is based on a very deep and rich texture that I created using re-sampling: The original Sample (a simple Pad sound) was played on 5 separate tracks, each had different pitches, LFO modulations, pannings and loops. I bounced these 5 voices down to 1 sample, which is then again modulated by different LFOs, using the MIDI Loopback feature of the Digitakt. The other texture of this track was created once more with one of the Digitakt Stock Oscillator Waveforms, which pitches are LFO modulated and resampled as well.

While my latest Jams have been very minimalistic, this one feels a little phatter and more ambient to me, mostly because of the grooves (which I like a lot here) and the mallet melody. Might reduce the 2 stab sequences later, think they are too redundant. What you think? Don’t forget to click thumbs up of sub my channel if you like the video :)

Instagram, you’ve probably seen the picture of my newest piece of gear I was gifted for Christmas: the Electro-Harmonix endless possibilities of this pedal, I’ve added it to this little setup, where it plays together with the Elektron Digitakt and the Elektron Model:Samples.

My newest creation was ment to get my very first "real" Minimal House Track. But what else would one expect from 59 Perlen rather than something deep atmospheric? I'm a big reverb guy. So well here we go. I recently watched some tutorials about Minimal House and got completely fascinated by its basic principles. I started collecting samples for a while and this is the first track I made last night. Perfect Saturday night moods! I very often make use of the Bit Reduction combined with massive Reverbs, modulated with the LFO to create evolving textures. This track uses this technique on the pad sound in the background, which also adds some "Lo-Fi" Crackling to the entire atmosphere. It creates huge „Waves“ that keep the track flowing and moving.
