Then all of a sudden the minimal dub beats bring you out of that zone and give the listener an almost different direction to follow. a perfect example is the closing track "Worthwhile". In the last few weeks I have had the feeling that I need to take a break. A break from Social Media, YouTube productions, weekly jams and updates. My batteries need to charge. That's why this video is the last one for now - today I'm saying goodbye to you guys for a summer break and will be back playing for you in August, full of new ideas! During the next 6 weeks I won't upload any tracks, you will also have to do without our live sessions. I won't make any posts on Instagram and will also hold back with comments as far as possible. But I'm already working on a lot of new stuff and I'll use the next 6 weeks to push these forward - a first pure Octatrack live set is coming up, an EP, a new Digitakt sound design course incl. update 1.3 features is in production, a small rebranding is on the plan etc. But that's all I can tell you today ;D Lets keep the tension. Before I say goodbye, there will be a super cool compilation with my minimal house track "Home" dropping on Friday, July 2. "Minimal City Vol. 1" will be released on Petite Victory Collective. Briefly about the track you hear in this video: it's a "remix" of my song "Pearl". I just wanted to work with the slicing features of the Octatrack, and the stems of the original track were great for that. The OT controls the rest of the devices with some patterns. the last episode "Space Night" inspired me to perform this track, made on Digitakt and Digitone by Elektron

This little Digitakt jam is supposed to be a part of a project I'm currently working on. The sounds of this track are entirely created using a pretty limited sample pack and I like what I got here so far, even it's just a first draft of a track and needs some more work. I will share some more about our little project soon :) I like the fact that we only use samples from this self-curated pack - being limited can be so creative at the same time.

It's time for Big Ambient Moods! The Big Sky reverb from Strymon is a Pedal in a class of it's own. Reverbs are just superb! And I totally looooove reverbs! In this track, I'm generating a very deep ambience texture with the Model:Samples, which is routed through the Big Sky and then into the Digitakt. The reverb algorithm is "Cloud" with a very small diffusion setting. It gives the whole texture a nice granulation. Another spontanous release dropped today! With the Digitakt creation of "Forget His Song" I wanted to dive deeper into house moods and here's the result. The track was produced with the help of an old Denon Cassette Deck, which gives this track a warm and unique flavor of the good old days. The song uses once more multiple LFOs to modulate the background texture FX parameters (Bitrate, Send Delay, HPF Delay) at very low speeds to create some ever evolving sounds. OK Guys, yesterday I celebrated the release of our project "Garages" with my friend Atlas Castle - this collaborative and minimal EP will be released on 29.1. and all 4 tracks on it were made completely with the Digitakt. Boy that's really exciting! The release will be accompanied by a streaming event on Jan 31. Until then there is still some time left, which I would like to sweeten with a new jam. At the turn of the year I completely cleaned up my Digitakt. The storage of the +Drive was filled so I backed up all data and deleted the samples. Only one new sample pack is on it now, and this track was created exclusively with it. I can't say much about the pack yet, but I think the track speaks for itself! I hope you like it!
